At the CCBN AGM held at Kettering on Oct 23rd, it was
announced their "Club of the Year" award was to go to Blackthorns.
The President, Pat Thompson, said "It is in recognition
that they became active this year and really put themselves on the map. They
have worked hard at promoting naturism through the media including newspapers
and magazines and radio appearances." She went on to say how the website has
been updated and greatly improved and she commended the club for its support of
their charity of the year and for hosting the Fun Run.
The club was presented with a very nice glass decanter
engraved with "British Naturism".
Everyone at Blackthorns is thrilled with this result.

Congratulations to Blackthorns petanque players who
narrowly missed out in the medals at the BN National Petanque Tournament, which
took place between 30th April and 1st May at Broadlands Sun Club, Norwich. Our
leading partnership came a credible fourth, while other teams finished just
outside the top ten.
23rd April 2005
The Blackthorns website is today officially re-launched. The original site,
first published in 1998, has been redesigned, with the aim of making the new one more interactive. Currently information is provided for those
wishing to find out more about our club.
It is also intended to make a members only area, to make
the latest information immediately available to members, especially those who
cannot visit the club as often as they may like.
17th April 2005
The Blackthorns swimming team yesterday came third in the
British Naturism National Swim, which was held in Rugby. Our team of six members
swam their hearts out and won several individual medals. Our children did
particularly well, winning trophies for the best boy under 10 and best girl
under 16.
